Getting Started
To participate in the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program or H1B Work Visa Program, you must meet the teaching qualifications, submit all requirements and complete the different phases of the application.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a valid teaching license in your home country

  • Have at least 2 years of full-time teaching experience 

  • Possess an Education degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s Degree

  • Have sufficient proficiency in English

  • Currently teaching full time in a classroom setting at Kinder, Elementary or High School level

APPLICATION PROCESS

STAGE ONE: INITIAL APPLICATION/ELIGIBILITY SCREENING


The following is a list of initial documents that are needed to begin the ELIGIBILITY SCREENING process:


Submit the following REQUIRED documents to application.ita@gmail.com


(1) Resume with Photo (specify complete dates of graduation and employment history)

(2) Transcript of Records 

(3) Current passport (biodata page) - must not be expiring in a year or so

(4) Copy of your Teaching License

(5) College Diplomas

Submit the first 5 initial documents as a PDF file attachment; not via Google drive link.

​

Save your multiple college diplomas in one (1) PDF file.

​

Save your transcript of records in one (1) PDF file.

​

We will not accept the following:

​

1. Passport with less than a year validity.

2. PRC license with less than a year validity

3. Not currently teaching in K-12 classroom setting.

4. Less than 2 years teaching experience

5. Teaching online only

Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis. The response time may be delayed as we continue to receive a high volume of emails from impressive applicants. We thank you for your patience and understanding.


STAGE TWO: ONBOARDING/PROGRAM ORIENTATION

After satisfactory clearance from the Initial Screening, you will be invited to our Program orientation.

​

THE NEXT STAGES OF YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE SHARED DURING THE PROGRAM ORIENTATION.
