Our Visa Sponsors can place teachers in the following states:

3. How long will it take for my license application to be reviewed?

Typically 2-4 weeks. Under the J1 Visa Program, you can only apply for teaching license once you arrive in the US and has obtained your SSN.

4. How can I expedite the licensing?

There is not an option for expediting initial licensure applications; however, if a packet is received complete it will not delay the process further.

5. What is credential evaluation?

An evaluation of your non-US education is an important part of your application for employment in the US, or your petition for a visa. The evaluations will state the US equivalence of your educational credentials in a way that will be understandable to potential employers.

OPTION 1 - APPLY DIRECTLY TO A CREDENTIALING COMPANY
Visit naces.org to access the different

accredited credentialing companies and obtain their fees and processing.

SpanTran is our recommended international transcript evaluation service. They have created a custom application for iTeach America that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate. You can access their application:

Here's what you'll need to complete this application:

1) Copies of your official transcripts in their original language

2) Copies of any diplomas/degree certificates you earned in their original language

3) A scan of your passport, driver's license, national identification card, or similar.

4) Credit/debit card for payment. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, American Express, MasterCard, etc.)

$50 - ITA service fee

OFFICIAL FCE HARD COPY IS A REQUIREMENT TO BE ADMITTED TO ITEACH AMERICA.

Please note that if you continue your application through iTeach America, we will forward your FCE to the Department of Education of your Host School when you begin applying for your teaching license.
